Our inspiration and enthusiasm has led us to create a once unimaginable world. We are powerful creators and we are realizing this potential more and more.
Being challenged by feelings of disconnection I decided to delve further into our perception of reality, the human condition and our universe.
Knowing that we are always creating (see exhibition 2007 Present be Here Now) I wanted to explore how that could be done more intentionally or deliberately, rather than by default.
In these works I go deeper into unconscious patterns, feelings and thoughts that play out. Recognizing deeper layers from family history, societal conditioning and personal experience. Having worked for many years on the impact of our thoughts and patterns on our experience and acknowledging the principle of mentalism - ‘all is mind, the universe is mental’ set out in Hermetic philosophy.
This was created to remember and realize that if we can do that unintentionally by default, we can do it on purpose.
This work is developed through the process of clarifying the intention, the subject and the purpose and working intuitively from there. This exhibition encompasses painting, mixed media piece,, a song and writing to express and bring awareness to the process. Exploring essence and identity. Starting with feeling deep into the heart and coming out the other side with the particle (among other things) inspired "All is Mind”.
